Tractor Pull
SECTION I: OEM
  1. All trucks must be factory stock (no modifications)
  2. Tire size must be available from the factory.
  3. Must have stock bumper. Hitch height is to be no more than 26". Must hook to a bumper or Reese type hitch. Contestant to provide a clevis with a minimum 3 5/8" opening and safety pin.
  4. No added weight. Tool box (if empty) and snowplow mounts are acceptable.
  5. No suspension modifications, including lift kits.
  6. No gas tanks are allowed in the bed of the truck.
  7. Functional flatbed truck will be allowed.
  8. No dress up kits (air cleaners, valve covers, etc.)
  9. Trucks must have stock air cleaners and stock ignition.
  10. If any parts are in question or modifications found, your truck will be
  11. immediately moved to the street legal class.
SECTION II: STREET LEGAL TRUCKS
  1. Vehicle must be licensed as street legal, and must carry valid registration. Must be a 4 wheel type vehicle. (No dual wheels)
  2. Vehicle must have VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) in place that matches the registration.
  3. Maximum vehicle weight including driver will not exceed 6500 lbs.
  4. No alterations that change the appearance from original specifications. Trucks must have original box or a manufactured flatbed in place, no open frame rails. Doors and hood must be on the vehicle, no open cabs. Weight may be added in a safe and secure manner, no farther than 60" from the center of the front axle forward. Any weights or external parts lost while hooked to the sled, will be cause for disqualification.
  5. Engine must be production line available for that year. Headers (closed) are allowed. Aluminum intake with single carburetor may be used, adapter plates are acceptable. All exhaust must exit through muffler(s), and tailpipe(s). No open exhaust allowed. No aluminum blocks, unless OEM.
  6. Bell housing scatter blanket acceptable but not required.
  7. Fuel injection allowed, but must be OEM.
  8. Any pump gas/fuel available may be used.
  9. No turbo chargers or super chargers allowed unless OEM. (example: diesel)
  10. No pressurized fuels allowed except in U.L. approved pressure tanks. All pressurized tanks must be permanently mounted on the vehicle for road use. All forms of nitrous oxide or combustion aiding chemicals will be illegal as fuel or fuel additive for pulling.
  11. Maximum gear ratio 4.88:1.
  12. Any DOT approved tire is allowed, no cut or sharpened tires, any size allowed.
  13. No solid suspensions, traction control devices may be used.
  14. Maximum hitch height 26" from top of hitching devices, parallel to ground. Hitch must be clear drop for the hook. Hitch point must be rigid in all directions and a minimum of 52" from center of rear axle. Hitch must be equipped with a steel hitching device not more than 1" in thickness nor less than .75" with a minimum 3 5/8" diameter opening. A "D" type or twisted clevis may be used. All clevis must have a safety pin.
  15. Drive shaft loops, fire extinguisher, and kill switch are required on all street legal vehicles.
  16. Drive shaft loops are 2 loops per shaft required, a minimum of 1/4" thick and 1 1/2" wide. Must be 6-12" from ends of shaft. No more than 2" from shaft and 8" vertical. Must be securely mounted.
SECTION III: STREET DIESEL
  1. Maximum weight of 8,000Ibs including driver must be full-bodied.
  2. Weights are allowed in bed and must be secure.
  3. Fuel injection pump is limited to stock appearing.
  4. Engine is limited to stock appearing. OEM make-specific compression ignition engine.
  5. Nitrous oxide, propane, and water injection are prohibited.
  6. Turbo chargers are limited to stock. OEM specific chargers only.
SECTION IV: SAFETY AND TRUCK OPERATIONS
  1. Truck must be operated in a safe manner at all times.
  2. No consumption of alcoholic beverages in the track or pit area either before or during a contest. If a judge believes any driver to be a potential safety hazard because of such consumption, such driver may be barred from the contest.
  3. Truck must be stopped immediately upon signal from the judge. The pull shall be considered over when forward motion of the sled stops.
  4. All contestants must wear seat belts during competition.
  5. All trucks to be in neutral or park while being hooked or unhooked.
  6. No passengers permitted in vehicle while in motion or while engine is running.
SECTION V: OPERATION OF CONTEST
  1. Number one puller will be the test puller except in pulloff, and may take pull if weight machine is ok or he/she may pull in the third position. If weight machine needs further adjustment, first puller after each adjustment will be treated as the number one puller. All decisions on repulls must be made before the truck in question is unhooked from the sled. Any disqualification on first attempt bars a second attempt.
  2. Contestants must pull at the position drawn within one (1) minute of time sled is ready, any delay will mean disqualification.
  3. All pulls must start with a tight hitch. No jerking is permitted. Contestant will be allowed two (2) consecutive attempts at 75' to start the sled.
  4. Truck must remain within the boundaries of contest course during the pull or will be disqualified.
  5. No one allowed on the track except for the track officials and the contestants. NO HELPERS. Track is defined as the area 35' in any direction of contest course boundaries.
  6. Truck can only be entered one (1) time per class. Driver may enter more than one truck per class.
  7. Class size to be limited to 25 entries; first come, first served basis.
SECTION VI: GENERAL RULES
  1. Violation of any rule shall constitute a disqualification.
  2. Contest to be governed by judge or judges with all decisions final.
SECTION VII: ELIGIBILTY OF CONTESTANT
  1. All drivers must be at least 16 years of age, and posses a valid drivers license.
